Verba efflorescentia
Artisan & Interiorism
Before the Nest (Pajarito). A wall-mounted silhouette crafted from birch wood, exploring the poetic stillness of a bride-to-be. This piece translates the delicacy of Haute Couture into a graphic, organic form, focusing on the grace of the moment before the union.
Equation of Longing ( Suma de Palabras). A site-specific installation commissioned for the Basaldúa Haute Couture Atelier. These hand-finished birch wood characters celebrate the intersection of love, fate, and togetherness, transforming typography into a tactile, sculptural presence.
"Ceci n'est pas Cervantes" (The Literary Paradox)
Created in 2016 to mark the 400th anniversary of the deaths of Miguel de Cervantes and William Shakespeare, this piece is a conceptual exercise in literary metahumor. This limited-edition ceramic plate was handcrafted at the renowned Centro Cerámico Talavera, blending centuries-old artisanal tradition with a contemporary graphic language. The illustration creates a deliberate visual confusion, merging the iconic portraits of both authors. By invoking Magritte's famous paradox, the piece transforms the ceramic surface into a space for dialogue on authorship, legacy, and the nature of representation itself.
Public & Cultural
Franz Kafka bust inspired by 'The Metamorphosis.' Commissioned in 2008 by Ámbito Cultural (El Corte Inglés) in collaboration with the Hotel Kafka School of Literature as the official trophy for the 'Otras Voces, Otros Ámbitos' Literary Prize.
Visual communication commissioned for World Tourism Day (September 27th) to promote Madrid as a leading global destination committed to sustainability. This project involved creating large-scale graphics for public spaces, including city bus shelters and institutional posters throughout the capital. The campaign scales my minimalist approach to illustration into impactful urban storytelling that bridges the city's touristic prestige with its environmental future.
BRANDING & LIFESTYLE
Poodle & Pod
Graphic work for Vegan Pet CareIllustrations for Poodle & Pod, a premium vegan cosmetic brand for pets. The goal was to align the brand's sustainable ethos with a clean, contemporary aesthetic. By applying the 'Fine Line' of Industrias Martínez to product packaging, we achieved a sophisticated look that resonates with conscious consumers seeking both ethics and high-end design in pet care.Explore the project: www.poodleandpod.com
Mis Picantes (By Ignacio Muguiro)
Brand Identity & Conceptual Illustration"A bespoke branding project for Ignacio Muguiro, a leading authority on spices and visual identity. The challenge was to translate the sensory heat of the product into a clever, minimalist graphic language. Using 'visual metahumor,' the designs—such as the volcano-nose or the chili-lips—create a bold, unforgettable identity that bridges the gap between culinary expertise and iconic design."
Relumbra (By María Crespo)
Visual Narrative for Personal & Cultural TransformationA visual collaboration for Relumbra, a project founded by María Crespo focused on systemic coaching and cultural transformation. The challenge was to create imagery that reflects a holistic and humanistic approach—moving beyond verbal language to incorporate body awareness and the interconnectedness of our personal and professional dimensions. These illustrations translate complex, intangible concepts into a poetic visual language, supporting a journey of self-discovery where, as Relumbra advocates, 'everything is connected'.Visit the project: www.relumbra.es
The Art of SynthesisI see the line as a tool for synthesis—an exercise in stripping away the noise to reveal the essence of a concept. With over 20 years of experience at the intersection of photography and illustration, my work is driven by a strong conceptual foundation and an independent spirit. Having refined my craft through years of collaboration with prestige publishers such as Condé Nast, I now choose to operate outside the conventional circuit, prioritizing atmosphere and a raw beauty that is as subtle as it is bold.My current focus, Fine Line, represents a return to purity. I look to collaborate with like-minded partners—from record labels and independent publishers to global brands—seeking an alternative visual discourse rooted in simplicity, professional excellence, and a rejection of the polished digital norm.Collaborations & Editions:

Analog: The Sound of Creation
For me, the creative process is inseparable from the act of listening. I believe in the ritual of analog sound—a world of vacuum tubes, vintage turntables, and BBC-style monitors that define the landscape of my studio. This vintage configuration is more than just equipment; it is a sonic architecture that allows me to step into a parallel state of mind. Surrounded by the warmth and harmonic richness of this setup, I find the necessary focus to connect with the music’s flow. It is in this high-fidelity sanctuary where my illustrations take shape, guided by the rhythm and the raw, honest textures of a sound made to last.
